Oh my goodness, this is hilarious! But, but! Why with a recipe book! I can't shake the feeling that it fell in there by mistake or someone just wanted to be silly

Your guess is as good as mine.  I am totally confused. I have no idea why anyone would send me something like this in a tiny zip lock bag with a book.  I have to say though, it has brought some serious laughter for my family.  We are considering framing this fish hook.  Its kind of one of those rare things one might never see again in their lifetime. baaaaaa

I can say from looking at fishing lures this was supposed to be a small fish like one or perhaps a frog? although I have seen far better frog like lures.  From the looks of this one this may be a lure specifically used for attracting muskies.

that is definately a muskie lure that resembles a young frog/old tadpole, and can workas an injured young fish fry lol

... i had it in five or six colors and caught a few muskies with em as a kidling lol ... and a gorgeous bass ... and lost one to a stupid freakin idiot salmon lol

I'm rather concerned about this seller somehow dropping fish hooks in their packages though. That has the potential to be dangerous. You should let them know to be more careful. And hopefully it wasn't intentional.

It was intentional. It was wrapped up and taped to the wrapping of the book with a thank u for bidding note.  It was my husbands ebay account we got the book on.
