They're the sort of toys that foster the imagination in young children which leads to fond memories.  The g1s smell REALLY nice.  They all have such cute faces and they're so bright and cheerful who wouldn't be cheered up by them. I freaking love ponies. <3

For me I think it's the nostalgia of it all.

I loved to play with my ponies as a child, ponies will always have a special place in my heart.

Ponies make me happy, and who doesn't want to be happy.  :P

They are animals, are cute, have bright colors, and the G1 cartoon is my absolute favorite show. Not to mention all of the beautiful customs I see.

I think it has to do with my childhood. All the memories of playing with them. I did my best to take very good care of them when I did have all of my childhood ponies. The colors and the styles of the ponies were appealing too.  I still love my ponies as much as I did back then. :)

the pure sweet innocence that they represent, early childhood when pain was a scab on my knee. Before life began to leave scars on my mind, and hurt in my heart. This is what each pony means to me. Nostalgia for the time before life began, that little bubble that faded from to time but never completely until I grew up.

Holding ponies and seeing them is like putting a bandage on a broken arm. And that's enough of my soppy mentality  :biggrin:

The memories - they remind me of good times in my childhood and the people who were in my life then - and the friends who I've met through collecting.

Also, there are unicorns.  Unicorns FTW.
