I had a few when I was younger and I want to replace them.  I remember they were very pretty

There are a couple listed MOC on ebay but they're fairly pricey (around $80)

Does anyone know how hard they are to track down? I would prefer loose not MOC.

My sister's used to collect them when they were young - they even had a Carousel for them- I had no idea that one would be collectors items or be 80 dollars for one.

Yeah I think i remember having a carousel or some kind of stand for them

Edit: I found an ended ebay auction for the carousel. I definitely remember having this when i was little

Aww, I remember those! I had two of them when I was younger, but they're long gone now. I didn't know they made different animals. I love the unicorn and reindeer ones!

I know that Marigold collects them! Personally I love the other animals like the lion, but I don't own any.

I have noticed the ones that come up on eBay are mostly MOC, but they do turn up loose for a bit better prices. Also, Sparkleset80 has some for sale here!

I collect these. well, used to, since I decided I'd stop when my carousel was full.

I bought mine by keeping watch at eBay for cheaper ones. There's also a toy forum on Ghost of the Doll, where some of these were sold occasionally. When I upgraded one of mine, I sold one there.

I still wish I could find a fully functioning carousel some day for a decent price. The one I have only turns for few seconds and then gets stuck. I love how the horses actually move up and down on their poles as the carousel turns.

I do collect them!  I'm looking for some of the glittery ones and the swan and camel right now.  Little Fox helped my collection grow with this girl (surrounded by nudibranch friends):

I had a couple as a child but I think they got sold on a car boot sale or something... I would definately love to collect them again but I have never seen them secondhand. I love carosel horses in general...

I don't have any extra spending money right now but i'm definitely going to track some of these down soon.  I remember they were so pretty up close.

Yep, sparkleset has a big collection, and my own collection has grown to a respectable size.  Those $35 and up MOC ones on Ebay are overpriced; you can get them much cheaper (even MOC) if you're patient.  I've bought over a dozen MOC ones for $10 to $15 each and even snagged a MIB carousel for $100.  Check the completed listings to get a better idea of what they actually sell for; those overpriced ones just get relisted over and over.
