Looking closely at the toy fair photos, it appears her wings were like that all along. I think she looks alright. It's sort of like the deal with Shadowdash and Zecora; the paint may not go all the way around their legs, but they'll display just fine I think. I may not be able to thread string through Chrysalis' legs, but she'll still be a welcome addition to my princess shelf.

I think she looks like Toothless in pony form.   no, she isn't show accurate, but I think she is sort of pretty. I'm not a fan of the princess style ponies anyway so it's not surprising that I don't love her. But I do like her better than I thought I would.

I will be getting the set but not so happy with Chrysalis. I kinda liked her wings before and wish they spent a little more effort on her holes.  Still it will be nice to add another villion to my collection and a few other ponies as well.

I... don't want to hate her because she's my favourite villan (next to Sombra and Discord) but... eugh.  I knew she wasn't going to be perfectly show-accurate, but this is downright disappointing.

yeah, dunno why everyone calls them stickers, they are as painted on as her eyes and 'saddle' are.

I ask my self the same question often.

Why couldn't they give her better wings is also a huge question o.o

I kinda want to get her, but if I do I'll likely see if I can try to drill proper holes into her legs.  Her and Ditzy Doo were the only two I really want from that Favorites set, so I doubt I'll buy it for her/them at this point.

she looks alright. but whats with habsros cheap repaint paint jobs.  it looks like something i would have done as a child.  those holes LOL.  if they are going to bother at leats make a special mold for gods sake.

They should have made a new mold for this character. I think I'll be tempted to take paint thinner to the dots on her legs. At least the mini figure seemed to look good at toy fair. I'm waiting for better pics of her to start showing up.
In terms of her just as a pony toy, discounting the character herself, it will be nice to have another dark colored pony and her wingsdo look kinda neat.

It's kinda sad considering how much FIM centered fans complain about wanting show accurate products and hasbro seems to give less and less of this with each passing year.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not as show-accurate mad as others. And I know repainting molds has been a staple of toys since forever. But Chrysalis just strikes me as particularly cheap. That, Zecora's jewelry, Vinyl Scratch's goggles, Mrs. Cake's pudgy cheeks just an unpainted part of her eye sockets and others which have shown up here...

I know those I mentioned are all characters that bronies like, but Hasbro isn't doing a good job of pandering to them, or anyone. No new characters for the collectors, and no show-accurate ones for the kids and bronies... who are they aiming these toys at?

I think the outline on the wings looks neat. It looks better than what I had seen in the toy fair images at least.
I'm still excited for her. I want to get that set 99.9% because of Pony/Ditzy though.
