I'm confused about your streetpass stats.
Do you constantly check your DS or something. Cuz I didn't think you could get more then 10 streetpasses at a time, unless you cleared them. (But I imagine it's a glitch thing).

hmm.... weird. i usually check it's gone back to zero in the morning and then check when i get to work and then again when i get home.
today i went to the beach and only checked when i got home.

it might not be street pass. on my home screen the top screen on the top left there is the little blue "internet" box that changes to a green "streetpass" one when i'm away from wifi.... is that it? the little black footprints?

Those are how many steps you've taken. It's counting your steps and every 100 steps you get Play Coins (what you use to buy Fortune Cookie items in AC:NL).

Katie showed up today, so I'll be needing to drop her off with someone. I'll also have my gates open a bit later to (hopefully) do some trades and people can stop by and shop or just run around willy nilly and sleep in my town's new hammock. Ha ha.

You're not an idiot. For future reference, if you get a StreetPass it will show up as a glowing green dot on your Notifications tab on the Home Screen. It may also be present on the game's icon if they are also an AC player (cannot confirm as I have never StreetPassed, but it shows the blue dot on the game's icon when you get a SpotPass).
