I found a gem rock with my silver shovel today! In case anyone here doesn't know, when you have the silver shovel, sometimes, instead of bells coming out of your bell rock, gems will! I got EIGHT gems from my rock!

You end up making more money that way, since the gems are all worth more.

I was pretty excited! I didn't know about it until I saw it on BidoofCrossing's Tumblr, and the shovel I purchased from the museum's second floor. =)

^ I have a resident like this too.  Any ideas?  It used to be much easier in WW to, um, encourage a resident to move, but they seem to plant deep roots in NL...

  And I'm still battling my shyness thing, but I'm going to try to leave my gates open this evening (from about 9pm EST), so if anypony wants to visit, please do.   I'm trying to visit dreams to get a handle on walking around somepony else's town, so maybe eventually...

Also... I caved and bought the strategy guide from Prima.   I find it pretty good, actually... just in case anypony else is considering it.

Maybe your town is really nice?
 I have a perfect town currently, and Isabelle told me "The residents say this town is so perfect, they never want to leave!"

I figure that the town's status/citizen satisfaction plays a role in them leaving or not.
