Disney dolls discussion!

I really hope they make more couples dolls! I guess the next ones would be:

Aurora/Phillip
Cinderella/Charming
Pocahontas/John Smith (even though she ended up with John Rolfe in the sequel, they'd probably still put her with John Smith)
Mulan/Shang
Tiana/Naveen

Would LOVE to see Giselle/Robert and Esmeralda/Phoebus!

Knowing Disney they will probably replace Pocahontas or Mulan with an Anna/Kirstoff set. Which would be nice but not nice at the same time. I love Poca and Mulan but the sad truth is they are the forgotten princesses. 

I really hope they don't forget Pocahontas and Mulan! I LOVED the designer Poca, she was my favorite out of all of them, but I missed out on her. I would love to chance to get her if they release a couples set

And I would definitely prefere John Smith over John Rolfe. I just don't see how those two had much chemistry in the sequel

All right! LE 17" Anna and Elsa will be an edition of 2,500 each! No news on a release date or price yet, but we are getting them! I hope we get to order them next month after my rent is paid. I will be so sad if I don't get Anna!

That's a bit disappointing. I don't like the jointed legs for the Disney Store dolls.

lemonice-How much are you thinking on that Anastasia doll? I had her as a kid growing up. Loved her to bits too.

I can't wait to see pictures of these dolls! Sadly, I probably wont be able to afford them.

Eric and Ariel where the one set I was most interested in getting. Though lack of money and real life obligations. Didn't have the time to watch the goings on, of their release.

They sold out that fast? Interesting given how some of the others stuck around.

I'm not surprised she sold out so fast. I expected it! Ariel is the most popular princess. Look at her 2011 Designer Doll. She's going for $600+!

I'm not surprised either- plus Disney just did a big re-release of the Little Mermaid this year- in 3D, and the stores are swimming in the DVD and Blue-ray set, I think Little Mermadania is at an all time high... 

And then there are those of us who have always loved mermaids, always loved the Little Mermaid fairy tale, and who have always loved Disney's Little Mermaid-  it is hard for me to turn away from dolls that are that beautiful, I will admit I wanted the set too and it is probably just as well they sold out since I already got that mermaid 17" doll a month or so ago.

I also think Ariel is more popular this year due to the DVD/Blue-ray re-release of the The Little Mermaid. I thought Sofia the first would be a popular costume this year but I noticed at Target that all of the Ariel costumes were gone.

I knew Ariel would go super fast since she's no doubt one of the most popular princesses, plus all the Little Mermaid hype now that the DVD has been rereleased

I actually regret not picking up the Tangled set, but I didn't think I'd be able to afford it and I was torn between Ariel and Rapunzel since they're both my favorites. But I didn't like the way the Tangled dolls were positioned and I liked Ariel's dress better so I decided on that set. Very happy with my decision, but I would like to get the Tangled set one day too
