Has anyone ever used Bella acrylic paint?
« on: May 22, 2013, 11:12:47 AM »
So, I was at Home Depot today, and I found some craft-grade acrylic paint by the name Bella. I looked it up online, and it appears to be a brand exclusive to them. In any case, they were selling a 24 variety pack for $9.95, so I couldn't help buying it to try it out. It had some really nice colors, including five colors of glitter paint. (Gold, silver, white iridescent, pink and lavender.) Anyway, I wanted to know if anybody has ever used Bella paint, and if they had gotten good results? :3

I haven't heard of it yet, but I'm curious about your experiences, that's a good deal!

Yes. I have the previous pack, which has some slightly different colors in it (thus making me want to buy the new set despite the overlap). They're nice paints - I've used them both for the grail swap pony and a custom I'm finishing up for Ookami_Amaterasu - but they need watering down so they don't have brush marks.

I haven't had any issues with rubbing off besides the norm, so plan to both buy the new set and continue using the current set. :)

Edit: I'm sorry, I'm thinking of the pan tones set. Bella are the metallics I have, and they rock. I don't recall watering them down when I made the holiday swap pony, so you should be good, but ymmv.
