SpoilerWhat I didn't like was that they're adding so many modified elements of the original second Star Trek movie. I didn't cry when Kirk died, all I could think of was how Spock originally died and "I have been, and always shall be, you friend." That makes me cry. I'd like something new and different with these new take on the franchise. I'll still add it to my collection, though, these new movies are very good movies.

I think it's neat how they're pulling in elements from the original and playing off the 'alternate reality.' But I'm not a purist by any means, so l can see your point.
