Star Trek Into Darkness - SPOILERS!

Just saw Star Trek Into Darkness.  HOLY COW!  I think I like it better than the last one!  I just cannot get over Chris Pine's eyes! *swoon*

I seriously teared up when Kirk died, oh those eyes!  And I laughed so hard I cried when the tribble showed up! Not to mention all the one liners!
"I told you we'd fit."
I'm not sure that qualifies."

Needless to say, I'm looking forward to seeing it again....and again and again and again!

I loved the special effects.  I got the wrong tickets so ended up sitting in the very front row and got a little sea sick with the fast moving scenes so couldn't appreciate it all as much as I would have liked.

What I didn't like was that they're adding so many modified elements of the original second Star Trek movie.  I didn't cry when Kirk died, all I could think of was how Spock originally died and "I have been, and always shall be, you friend."  That makes me cry.  I'd like something new and different with these new take on the franchise.

I'll still add it to my collection, though, these new movies are very good movies.

I'm not totally a purist, but I would like to see something newer.  I do like that they bring in the same elements but in a new way, perhaps there were just too many in this movie for my tastes.  Ok, maybe I'm more a purist than I think but I do still like these movies.  I'm just glad they're making more Star Trek movies at all and that they're such big hits. Yay for Star Trek!

Loa, I agree, would love to see more McCoy, he's always been a favourite character for me.

I loved it!! The family and I are planning on seeing it a second time tomorrow.

I also cried when Kirk died. BUT I totally knew they were going to take Khan's blood and use it to regenerate him. That was evident.

I got a giggle out of the tribble and appreciated the little similarities to the old Star Trek.

And the action and special effects....wow!
