Show Me Your First Ever Commission please

Hello, I got my first commission today off a woman I work with she's asked me to make a custom as a gift for her grand daughter.

I start in June, I should have completed my ponycon custom by then. So in spirit of the fact that I'm going to make a custom that I get paid for (technically I've just asked for the cost of materials because she's a work mate) I thought it would be nice and inspirational to see other board members first commissions, if you don't mind

She was made for a penpal who asked for a white angel themed pony. She was supposed to have a lyra as her symbol, but I liked her better blank so I asked if my friend would accept her that way. :'D

My first "real" commission I got via the Finnish pony forum, a member asked me to do a Star Trek themed pony as a birthday gift for her boyfriend. (Unfortunately I don't think the said BF appreciated the gift... even though the commissioner herself was happy. )

The sculpting is horrible but I had some fun experimenting with metallic colours, the pony is painted in a mixture of black and silver acrylics. I also mixed silver in the green and blue paints of the symbol.

These were done in 2006 and 2007 respectively. My photographing skills (and equipment) have also improved since.

They all look fantastic  I'm very excited. I was shocked when I was asked because I only showed her a pick of a work in progress.

I'll be practicing on a couple of my own personal customs first though I've got till June. My bait is on the way and I've ordered the hair ready, just working on designs now. Got a couple in mind.

It's nice to see so many lovely customs and how great everyone was when they started out.

My first commission! She was actually a replacement for a Fluttershy I'd sold previously (someone on their end lost it). She's not as good or as fancy as everyone else's, but I think she's still cute.
