... I'm sure I'll get one eventually, no matter what lol.

Yeah, I think even if they'd turn out to be stiff like La Dee Das and had no additional fashions I'd get Rarity for sure. I just need all things Rarity, it's a curse.

Pretty much me. I've been religiously stalking walmart for the Rarity plush.
I would totally have to get Rarity (and maybe a Fluttershy).

I'm looking forward to seeing what these dolls look like, I actually really want to like them. If I do buy them though some will have to be redressed not too keen on their fashions.

Tentatively, as I'd love to add a nice Rarity doll to my family. :)

I'd say I'm more wary.

One of the things that has me wary is I saw a thread that stated they are potentially going to be sold in sets of Doll + Pony.

If they are being sold in doll + pony sets, what size pony is this going to be? Are they going to put a tall/large doll in with a regular play line sized MLP? Are they going to be fashion style size ponies and bigger dolls?

OR Are they sizing the doll to the size of the pony? IF they are sizing the doll to the pony or making them look like they are a set then these are going to be small dolls, if it's like the regular size ponies they sell now.

I'm not sure how I feel about tiny dolls, if it is then I'm worried they are going to be dolls like what is sold with LPS.

That is the one thing that will totally turn me off to the dolls.

My dream would be they would be 16" articulated awesome dolls - but due to the fact I saw that info about doll + pony sets. It's just making me wary of what size these dolls are going to be.

Well if SSC is any indication they might come in multiple sizes. It might be mini dolls with the ponies and bigger dolls individually.

Mini dolls would be cute-  Tonner quality 16" dolls would of course be awesome, but I don't have even a shred of hope that that will happen.  I think the market for the expensive dolls is older girls and adults-  if they are aiming at tweens and younger with the pony movie- (and I think they are) my guess would be a cheaper doll.

Okay so I do hope they're cute- my shelves are already a morass of ponies and dolls- I think they will need to join in as ponydolls!

I am curious as to whether the dolls will look fully humanized like the movie- or will have more pony-like features like in the artwork.  Probably human I guess ?

I suppose it would depend on how cute they are. I'd have to make them pony fursuits though.

Except that the people who make MLP are very aware that they have a large adult fan base, so I could see them making a line of higher price-point dolls to cash in on the brony phenomenon.  Or maybe that's just wishful thinking. XD

The movie? Blah.

I'd love to see what the dolls look like. Why would a pony anthro have a pony pet? It's kinda silly.  :P

They're not really looking like anthropomorph ponies, though :/

Wasn't there another design that had them with much longer hair, pony ears and wings (but no horns)? I'm sort of hoping they will consider making the dolls with ears, wings and horns.
It just makes them look more special. The other design also had their colors be just like their coats and not literally white-washed as seen in the trailer.

By making them look like the other design they would also compete more with Monster High. Making them look bland like in the movie version Hasbro would miss out on that sweet monster girl market's milk
