Do store exclusive dolls bother you?

they bother me...
mostly because well. they are "exclusive" So the scalpers in my area pick them all up super fast and i can never find them.
there are 4 tru, 6 walmarts and 5 targets all within a 30 mile radius of where i live, but you still can never find them. so annoying.

I live in an area with 2 Targets, 3 Wal-Marts and one TRU. We'll get it eventually.

The only time I have a problem with store exclusive is when they're TRU exclusives because TRU is so much more expensive than Target or Walmart.

I don't really have a problem with store exclusives, unless it's at a store where a lot of people don't have access to (like with that Roller Maze Ghoulia/Abbey set, considering IIRC a great majority of Kmarts are closed down) and if the store with the exclusive has horrible distribution with the doll (such as Walmart and Sweet 1600 Cupid, for the longest time).
I do admit that I'm not keen on TRU exclusives because of the price.

I agree that is half the fun. Sometimes even I will find the item and decide I didn't need it so badly. The hunting though makes it fun.

The only problem that I have is that since I live in Finland, the exclusives don't really get here. And we DO have TRU, but for some reason, the exclusives just don't really arrive here (at least I haven't seen them). So I have to get everything from either Amazon, Ebay or - thankfully - the Arena.

Exclusives are just that...exclusive.  Meaning that not everyone will get one.  I'm ok with that because it makes it all the more sweeter when I do acquire the doll.  Besides, I know that there are so many lovely Arena members who are willing to help out. 

I think that's why I'm not freaking out about Wydowna; I know that with some patience and some saved up money, I'll eventually own her.

I am in the Eu and Finland does not have stores that are equivalent for the chains in the US that have exclusives. This results in us never really getting any exclusves here and I have to hnt everything down from the internets.

Same here. I am from South Africa so I get no exclusives except for the TRU ones, and they are usually 6-12 months later after the US releases.

If I like any of the exclusives I have to find them from ebay or trade on this forum to get them.

The only time I've gotten upset over an exclusive was the Costco exclusive.  Having to be a member and all   I hope they never get another one!

I didn't like JCPenny and Kohl's getting them either.  I think if you aren't really in the toy selling bussiness, you probably should get exclusives   I hate making special trips to stores that don't sell alot of toys, just to find the ONE thing I'm looking for is not there.  At least when I'm at Walmart/Kmart/Target I can browse for other things (Hey!  I need some toilet paper!  Ooh!  I want some potato chips!  And the like)  It doesn't feel like a wasted trip.

Also, if I were anywhere BUT the U.S. I'd hate exclusives with a passion.  I really feel for you guys
