Rarity in upcoming 'Story Packs'

^ one of my thoughts too! The Rarity in the first photo with the full tail looks like one of the already released ones, the short tail Rairity probably wasnt availble to them at the moment and threw in a blindbag Rairity? I bet we will get the short tail Rarity!  It would make sense if its a story figure set, the sea serpent figure does have Raity's tail as a mustache after all!

I know I'm in the minority, but I hope she does not have the short tail.  The people who haven't seen the show or just really couldn't care less to watch are going to be really puzzled as to why her tail's been chopped off, and we'll probably have a couple of "Hey, my figure's been botched!" complaints.

I doubt that will be a problem.  The point of the pack is the FiM story the characters were based on.  There will probably be a quick summary of the stories with the package.  It will motivate the kids to want to watch the episode they were based on too.

Also- there are sooooooooooo many extra blind bag Rarity ponies that I'm sure you won't have a problem getting a replacement if you don't want the Rarity with the short tail.  I think I have at least 4 or more laying around.

It seems that the Rarity figure with the short tail has been replaced with just a regular Rarity figure

Which is a shame I was looking forward to the new mould for her. On the plus side, the sea serpent's official name is Steven Magnet!

I love that even at the same event on the same table, Hasbro manage to make a little mistake!

I saw the pictures back in Feb and I will admit that I didnt even notice the different Rarity in the packaged set! So well spotted!!!

I am sure from the number of cut tail Raritys seen on Taobao/Ebay as well as the fact these are sets based on specific show canon, that we will get the new and more fitting for this pack Rarity.

Does Fluttershy look different in the two packs also?  The one in the package looks like she has curlier hair and one eye covered; the one loose on the table looks like she has both eyes visible and sleeker hair.  Or is it just time for me to get some shut-eye?

It could just be the angle Sugar because yes they do look a little different!
