I like the original version too, but I;d rather have a slightly different version released than none at all!
If it was REALLY a problem, it would be easy to rehair stripes in her hair.

There is one thing I am wondering about... Though I have no current plans to sell her, how much do you think she will be worth? I have seen that the previous mintys have gone up to 300 dollar, but this one, well she is a bit of a one of a kind so far...

My guess is that if you sold her right away when you get her, you could easily fetch $150, since people seem to have both prototype and Minty fever. That value will drop though when they come out en masse. The old prototype Mintys may take a bit of beating price-wise too, but not as badly since they are still unique. At the moment, those old Mintys are worth more simply because they have been around longer without being released. If yours does turn out to be a one of a kind, it could surpass the worth of the other Mintys sometime in the future.

The situation would probably turn out like Wysteria and Pinkie Pie. Everyone got excited about translucent ponies and thought they might be buying prototypes after those other translucent ponies were never released. Those ponies are starting to show up more and more though now, indicating a release, so prices are dropping.

She's a cutie! I did like the color of the old one's hair more though. I think they changed the pink too; the prototype had what looked like Dollyhair's "Tea Rose", where the new one has "Pussycat" (fading pink)... Collectors, please correct me if I'm wrong!

Looks more like recent FLuttershy pink, and the light pink on ponies like Star Swirl, very neon under a black light, doesn't seem to be the same as the fading pink, at least compared to a few unfaded G1s.

She's gorgeous ... except for those black outlines around her mints!  They just look too harsh against the soft pastels.  They really stand out and are distracting.
