Husbands and Ponies (funny text messages)

Joe drove round all the ASDAs within a 20 mile radius with me to get those! haha!

Now that's an awesome guy!

No SO (forever alone) but I have interesting conversations with my dad. My pony shelf at home (I'm away at college) shares space with my dad's tax code books for work. When I leave for school he packs my ponies in a box and puts them in my closet.

I always get a text when I go back to school and my ponies are back in "winter forage" as he calls it.

My mike doesn't understand ponies but bless him he's trying. He keeps confusing the names. He did watch the fim opening two episodes and thinks nightmare moon is cool and calls Pinkie Pie *cough* Pinkie Plop he thinks she's mad. He likes the look of Luna and will ask about the ponies but he's far from an expert lol

My husband really likes Shining Armor because of his line in fim series 3 finale when he calls his tears "liquid pride". My husband loves that line so much that he saids the next time he has some tears he's just going to call them that. Lol!

Mr. Skeen insisted we name our baby cherry tree "Cherrychanga" when we planted it.  Once he emailed me at work to say the postman had dropped off a package and he thought it was a pony so he opened it when he brought it in "to air it out" because it was really hot outside and he didn't want it to warp in the heat.

My husband doesn't "get" ponies but he does search goodwill stores high and low for any and every pony, care bear, or strawberry shortcake He's beginning to know which are fakies and which aren't

Hubs is not really overly fussed about the pretty ponies in this house, however, since he is surrounded by girls (we have two daughters) he can't really avoid them. So he gently humours our girls when they bring a pony to him for a cuddle but by far the best is when he parrots Escape from Katrina.

Typical scenario: Parent want kids to tidy up their toys...

Daddy: 'I want you to be my slaves!!!'
Kids: 'NO!'
Daddy: 'If I spare Avi (Avalonia) and Strawberry Swirl, will you be my slaves?'
Kids: 'NO!'
Daddy: (cackles) 'Then say GOODBYE to all your ponies!'

That's so cute! All of them, but I love Marlin's story!

Mine brings out all his pony knowledge when we are playing Mariokart. Anytime he gets inked, he whines that there's smooze on his tail. If Peach flies through the air, you can see her "fancypants." If I'm having a bad day, or he wants me to do something I don't really want to, whatever pony is closest is suddenly asking me to do chores. He knows that if a pony asks me to do dishes, I'll totally do it!
Otherwise, he just humors the ponies.

My little girls love the MLP movies. My husband walks around humming "Call upon the Sea Ponies" sometimes... lol

That's so cool! Lol! I wish my husband did that! I'm the only one that sings that song in our house.  Though my husband does like to sing the fim theme song and do jazz hands when he gets to the final 'friends'. Lol!

LOL That is cool!!! I wish that my hunny was more into them also. But he is not and I cant change him. He is a man and he will not go things that will make him not looking manly..........LOL

oh mine is so this ^^ it's so funny when our daughter wants help with puzzles in her pony books. he tries, bless him, but he has no clue. "get your mum to help you, this is her department".
