bottom of the toy box
« on: April 30, 2013, 08:20:05 AM »
There is probley another thread like this, but I cant find it, so Im starting this one. So I was going through some of my old barbie stuff that I gave to my daughter a few years ago and was so surprised to find some pony stuff mixed in. I found sluggers comb, a baby diaper, a g1 pony hat for a girl.
Im ready to go on a hunt at thrift stores and rummage through old barbie stuff to try and find more pony items.

What have you found in the toybox you have forgotten about?
Glitter for everyone! :fireworks:

Wow, lucky finds!  My little one is only two, so I won't be finding any oldies but goodies in her toy box.  However I am doing my best to keep track of all her little g4 knick knacks so I guess we will have fun treasure hunting in the toy box later on:) Happy hunting

No ponies, but I discovered some Ninja Turtle and other action figure accessories I thought had disappeared.  Now if only I had the figures to go with them!

I didn't have any MLP when I was small, I was all about my baby dolls and the doll house my late mom and grandad made for me.  Kinda wish I did though...

When I was 10 years old my mom threw out my McDonald's toys and didn't tell me until a week later when I was looking for them. She felt really guilty about it because she didn't know that I still played with them, and I had tons of other smallish toys in with them too that weren't necessarily from McDonald's.

I was so sure that my Darlin' Dinos were in there, but I found them in my Barbie box last year and screamed so loud that my dad freaked out. xD But really, I am just glad to have them in my DD collection now. They all even still have their factory curls!

I found some things when I dumped my toy box recently :D

Black comb for Project Pony (who I thought I lost)
Red Comb for Superpony
about 2 teeny tiny baby ponies.
a CUTE little pink tutu (I think it belonged to a G3.. but I gave it to Powder)

And for some reason, a crumpled up dollar bill.. haha!

Alas almost nothing...my mum was pretty thorough when she cleared out those ponies - the only thing I managed to find was the little teddy bear which came with the Lullabye Nursery.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I've kept most of my pony accessories over the years in a small box so it was no surprise for me what was in there.. although, as a kid I used all kind of things for my ponies (also barbie clothes  ) and I didn't know which pony accessorie belongs to which pony so when I got the G1 collectors book it was nice to sort everything out finally !

I never actually had a toy box! And I didn't even realize it until now. Which is probably why I don't have anyone's original comb, ribbon, or accessories. Poor little things never had a chance.
I have a jar now that I throw all the tiny things into. Ok, several jars.
Thanks so much to Calico_Star for her beautiful work on my Avatar!

I recently found a roly-kit under my parent's bed, and low and behold, some of my pony combs! I found a few of Good Weather's accessories, petite pony combs, some ribbons, merry treat's comb, a pull-along duck toy, tutti-fruitti's cake... All sorts!
