That Spectra makes me wonder, is there a thread somewhere dedicated to Monster High variants? Like I've noticed Powder Room Draculaura has come with both yellow and pink earrings for instance, though I'm not sure if that is the only difference.

Mattel can't make up their minds whether Jinafire has a pet or not. I bought the gorgeous girl today at a Wal-mart and her journal mentions she took "my qilin" (without a name) with her on a day out to gather inspiration for her art and the qilin is on the journal's cover with a heart drawn around it. I wanted to know what the qilin's name is so I looked up Jinafire's profile on the official website and it states she has no pets and she's going spend the next two centuries narrowing her top 50 pet choices down to top 20. What's the deal with the qilin? :blink:

ETA: Jinafire should go to nude beaches if she likes going to the beach! ;)

That necklace is just begging for some detailing, and those earrings are amazing!

I'm thinking I'd really like to see that Spectra variant in some other outfits, because I honestly hate DDG Spectra's outfit.

How did you come across the variant powder room Lalas? Which one is more common? I prefer the pink earrings and am looking for the doll, but am not interested in the playset.

I have not been wowed by DDGSpectra either, or the whole DDG line in general. I heard that GNO will be replacing it.

The yellow one is off an ebay auction, but I've only seen the pink earings in person. I think the pink earrings are a newer release. I've been scouring ebay for months trying to find a powder room Draculaura without the set for a good price as well with no luck. Today my husband comes home with her from TRU, and my first question is "do you still have the receipt?" because I feel so bad spending 30 dollars on such a simple doll. He assures me it is fine and I can keep her though :blush:

Incidentally if you do end up getting one with yellow earrings, I'll trade you for my pink ones!

There is a different Draculaura doll that had the yellow earrings. My bet is someone swapped them, because they wanted the pink ones.
