It depends ... are you including McDonalds and Blind Bags?  Or only full size ponies?  Also, do duplicates count?

I'd say 67 is a smallish to moderate collection.  I'd say (at least) 200+ for a large collection.

Considering there are well over a thousand ponies before even getting into Nirvana, blind bags, and McDonalds ponies, I'd call 67 smallish.

I think it's all about how you see your collection rather.  To a hardcore collector 67 is tinsy bitty, but to just an average Joe, it's good size.

  When I had only ten or so ponies (back when I had started collecting, mind, wayyyy back when, when Moondancer and Firefly were still brand spanking new ), I thought I had "quite the collection."  Now I have so many (somewhere over 300 for sure), I literally have no room to display them all... yet I feel my collection is kinda small.

It's all about perception, I guess! ^.^

Wishlist - I'm back on (semi-) active buying again... can't buy everything on my wish list all at once (yay, back-to-school and tuition fees), but I am still looking to plump up my collection a bit more: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,380638.0.html

It all different for everyone. If you do not have a lot of money then 60 or more is a big collection.
I have a little over 300 and feel that I have a medium collection. Some of you have way over that!!!!

When I had 67 ponies, it was huge! Now I have 365, and it seems a mid-size collection. It's all relative, seriously. If you feel that 67 isn't enough for you, then get more! If it seems too many, that's a large collection - for you! That's the beauty of collecting, it's personal preference!

This coming from a single generation collector...
Under 100 is rather small.
100-300 moderate.
Now when you've got to dedicate a whole room or large portion of an area you're talking a large collection 300 to infinity...
but this is just my opinion and a consenus from what others have posted...

I will be honest, I think even 100 ponies is a small collection. This is because there are so many ponies out there.

What I consider large is maybe about 500+. Below that is medium. Not that it isn't a LOT of ponies to have some amounts under that, it's just that there are thousands of ponies out there so a few hundred is a small amount.

I am not even sure how many I have anymore. I need to count up what I do have. I am thinking somewhere around 800 but I am not sure. Could be less for sure.

I have been getting rid of the ones I don't much care for, and getting the ones I really like. I have a pretty good collection of rare ones or just plain popular ones I sapose. Maybe thats why i see my collection seems large to me.

But when you all say that you have 200 or 800 ponies are we talking duplicates?

Duplicates aren't counted in mine, but I do have a few duplicates. Mine are all one of a kind. They span all generations though.

A large collection is when you can no longer keep track of how many you have in your head, which ones, and any duplicates or flaws. I'd say around...oh, 300ish. Also when you look through a pile/bag of ponies and go "I have HER? Really? Awesome. I had no idea!"
When the Equestria Girls dolls show up in stores and you end up with unneeded doubles, PM me! I'll buy them!/i]

I guess I think a collection under 100 is small..... but when you see 100 ponies together it does look big..... it's just a matter of opinion really.
My childhood collection of 11 ponies seems tiny now but at the time I thought it was a massive collection! :)
I had to count my ponies after I saw this post. I didn't know how many I had for sure so I had to check... At the moment I have 226 g1s and 3 g3s. Which sounds big to me, but then I hear about other people collections and it seems tiny....
You've got a tough question there! Lol! :)

I think 500+ is a large Collection. My Collection (G1s & G3s) is running into 3,000
