I admittedly am morbidly curious about that coyote, DazzleKitty. So when you say your dad found it, did he find the actual taxidermy or did he find the animal and then preserve it himself?

He found it's old already-rotted carcass. No taxidermy work involved. It is still in the laying position it died in. I guess it was in at atmosphere where it was naturally preserved.

Okay, I'll definite have to make sure I get pics tomorrow. The pics truly speak for themselves.  I just hope my dad doesn't try to convince me to 'pet' the coyote again. Ugh! He knows the dang thing freaks me out.

Would it be okay to post pics in the thread or against Arena rules? I know it may gross some out. I could save time by putting a spoiler tag around it and posting the pic in this thread, or I could just PM all involved. Just don't wanna get in trouble.

Wow...I'm hoping they were just inside a box or something and no one working there noticed. That would be pretty disturbing for someone to knowingly donate something like that. o__O Also, knives?! Dang, those outlets are more hardcore than I thought. I still wish there was one nearby though...

Also I am curious about the coyote too.

too bad i didn't know you liked those kinds of things, when i was cleaning out the back room at work we had quite a few nicely preserved ones. (our building is decades old.) everyone always sends me in to clean up the stuff because i'm such an animal person. (i had given them a proper burial out back)

we had a live one caught in a live trap and i took it out behind the dumpster to set it free. i feel so bad for the poor little things.

I was unable to get the picture yesterday morning. I was dang tired from working a rather long and mentally straining 12 hour shift. I am off tomorrow night and when my dad gets home from work, I'll take some snapshots and post them here. I'm interested in people's reactions to them.
One of the reasons I also wasn't in a rush is because a mod hasn't responded about this yet. I'll just spoiler tag it when I post the pic. It's not like it's not work-safe.....just icky to some.

Ewwwww!!  I've been to a goodwill outlet once and it was completely insane- people shoving and grabbing like crazy!  It was sort of a spur of the moment thing since I'd never been to one before.  I decided I would NEVER go back without sturdy gloves and your story totally supports that decision!

THIS is why heavy gloves should always be worn at Goodwill outlets. I found a number of kitchen knives too at the last one- you may be risking your health by going to one!

I have yet to go to the Goodwill Outlet. There is one a couple miles from me but I've just never gone.. my mom wants to go..

I have to wash my hands when I get home.. or go somewhere to wash my hands if I'm not going home. Even the places that claim they throw out dirty items, don't. Either that or they need to pay the staff more to clean things cause they are getting dirty from everyone rummaging while they are on display.
