Oh poor little Bowtie!  She was in rough shape when she arrived.  She reeks of mildew, her hair was almost all gone, she had terrible tail rust and her body is covered in smooze.  What does CP stand for?

CP means collectors pose

CP is the pose, collector's. She wasn't sold in the US in that pose. That yellow G1 with the locks of hair, Kisscurl, wasnt sold in the US either. If you don't mind my asking, do any of the G1's have different countries under their hooves other than China or Hong Kong?

Oh my!  I had no idea!  I bought the lot of G1s on EBay from a UK seller and I thought I was safe since the lot was labeled "bait". I'm at my cottage right now and don't have Bowtie here with me, but the others all have "Hong Kong" on the bottom of their hooves

Some picky collectors want mint condition ponies even though they are 30 years old and mint ones are hard to find. Anything else to them is bait. There are plenty of collectors who have less strict standards of which ponies are bait, especially those only sold in certain countries.

Hmm, so I've been thinking about what to do with this.  Does this mean that there would be people interested in these girls if I can get them cleaned up and rehaired?  I don't want to bait them if that is the case.  I double checked on Bowtie, and she also has Hong Kong on the bottom of her hoof.

You can definitely find homes for the two non-US G1's (Bowtie and Kisscurl) and the other G1's if they are in nice shape. The super long-haired G3's, pegasus, Candy Cane, and the babies if their hair can be fixed and they don't have issues.

Thank you for letting me know about this, I've decided to restore the non US girls if I can.  I've found the matching hair on Dollyhair and figured out how to clean them up.
