Do you think it is easier to trade for or to just buy ponies????

I find it easier to trade... which I'd love to do more often!
Selling is a slow process (and many buyers are super picky about condition so that makes selling difficult)... Plus there's no dealing with paypal fees.

I love to trade tbh, you pay for the shipping only so its easy on the wallet and ye help each other out in the process! My only problem is I don't like asking anymore because shipping has gone so high for US people

I really like to trade with arena members, but a lot of the ponies I am seeking are more uncommon and htf lately, so it makes it harder to trade. I can always offer my customs though.

hmmmm, i might be addicted to trading.
today i just shipped out 9 packages with pony related stuff for members on this forum, the sum i had to pay in the end let me blink for a moment, but thats how it is. ^^"
i love the contact you get with trading, and i also love to put little extras in like chocolate or such.
if my contact has respect and is polite. (98% of member i had contact with here are, but there still a few which aren´t. )

the most ponies i buy in stores are for people in other countries who can´t buy them in thier country. and on the fleamarket!

I used to trade a while ago.  It became a pain to get to the post office and pay the high amount for shipping.  I decided it's just easier to buy ponies from people.

Hmm, I have never tried trading before, but it does sound like a fun thing to do if you have time for it.

I think it is easiest for me to buy right now because the post office is mostly only open when I am at work. Also I am not so good at the local language unfortunately, so I get reaaaally shy and embarrassed feeling when I can't understand or speak to the people at the post office very well.

I'm beginning to think perhaps buying is better. Trading is great, I love making someone else happy with the ponies I had and getting ponies I love in return, but I feel horrible if I get my trade before they do. Especially if there's a significant lag time in between...

I love trading, but unless it's domestic, it's so expensive! It's cheaper for me to buy, and it's way easier, so I just do that usually!

I think it's definitely easier to just buy ponies. I have traded in the past, and while I definitely enjoyed it, it still wasn't as easy as just logging into paypal and clicking "send money". lol

I guess I can say I have been trading for about 6 years. I heard about the price hike in canada post. I don't think it will stop me from trading. I do buy ponies and just trade off whatever I have left that I don't need. I do find that in the winter months close to the holidays it is best to trade off those rarer ponies. Most people hold off until that time too. I have met some great people through trading and I wouldn't change that for the world. I love trading. I also find it helps to have a huge want list. Since I collect more generations that helps too.

I'm in the same boat as Baby Sugarberry with the crazy Canadian shipping prices plus the few ponies I'm looking for are rare or htf and I really am a NM-mint collector.  I've done a few trades in the past and I've been very happy with them though.  If shipping was more reasonable I'd definitely do it more often for a few commons I'd like as it can be really fun!

Trading is fun But if you can purchase the same ponies locally, you'd save money by not having to pay shipping costs. Trading also comes with more stress - what if the package gets lost in the mail?! etc.

Trading is fun, but it's sometimes difficult to work out for certain ponies or accessories.

For the most part, I feel it is easier to sell the ponies that I do not want or have duplicates of, and put that towards a larger pony purchase.
