Argie Brag!

I realized that I have been so busy with work and stuff that I have not posted my two newest Nirvanas!

The first is this girl, Argie Sweet Stuff! I love her because I am not a fan of Twinkle Eye ponies, so I don't have her China/HK counterpart. She is pretty rough so I do plan on cleaning her up and rehairing her, and will post pics when she's done. Anyone have any tips on rehairing an Argie to give her that slanted mane? I have a rehaired Argie Peachy/Snuzzle that I bought on e-bay done by someone named Red Roses that turned out beautifully and looks like an Argie-style mane, so I'm going for the same with this girl.

She's a cutie, congratulations! I think you shouldn't remove the remaining hair on her mane, you can find that color on us ponies so there's no need of taking it off. I would see if her tail's hair is enough to rehair her mane so you can have the same hair there and for the tail you can take one from ponies like mgr sunnybunch (she has the same color!)

I don't know what the value difference is between using G1 hair and 'new' hair to restore a pony, is there actually a price variation?

If you can use her tail to re-root her mane, it saves the hassle of trying to match colours! Lovely ponies.

if you use dolly hair its pretty obvious that its rehired, if you use G1 hair it looks like the real thing, cause it is!

Sorry it took me so long to respond, "real life" has been crazy!

I like the idea of rehairing her with G1 hair. Sadly, I don't think her own hair will hold up. It is not only frizzy, but very fragile and breakable. So if I can't successfully use the hair from her tail to reroot her mane,  I know she is the same color as G1 Magic Star, the Merry-Go-Round pony already mentioned, and a few others. I will be on the lookout for these as baits.

I still want to restore her mane to that slanted Argie style, so that will require tail hair from "regular" G1 MLP's. Does anyone have any tips for creating the style once it has been rooted?
