I am going to try my hand at customizing a g4. I have managed to get my hands on a shining armor to be the victim. so it is only going to be a re-hair and cutie mark repaint.

Though I have a couple of questions.

1. has anyone ever taken off that troll hair he has. if so how and what is under it.
2. how do you get a g4s head off I have tried with a pinkie pie with no joy

i got the head off with a craft knife and lots of brute force 
i did break the neck plug though, im sure there is a way to do it and leave the plug intact

Here is a tutorial of prepping a standard G4 if it helps

Heat the head with really hot water, pop the head off.  Use a very sharp exacto to cut around the glue holding the plug into the body.  If you break it ask for a replacement, glue the head on, or ask me for a resin copy of a neck plug.

thanks I will try to be careful but I do tend to get a little rough so you might be getting a pm

There is glue under the troll hair. But it's pretty easy to take off Here is my Twilight Sky. I am working on more Shining Armor customs. I hope Hasbro releases more boys

Such a gorgeous boy you got there, I am with you I with they would release more boys.   thank goodness that it is just glue underneath I thought it might be rooted or something but saying that not from hasbro.

No the other day I got the wedding castle for £10.18 off ebay and since I already have a copy of him I figured I would just give it a shot. though I am now stuck with two princess Cadance that I have no use for I know one is going to be sent away I think I know someone that wants to customise it but if anyone wants the other I am open to trade once she gets here.
