I love your costume! It's amazing you did the top by yourself, and the tail is beautiful! You're a gorgeus mermaid and I would've loved to stumble up on you as a kid. I remember being a kid on a cruise and this old lady told me stories about the mermaids in the sea and I squinted my eyes so hard, trying to see them while mom rolled her eyes, lol. You're living the dream.

Lol I'll ask it. How much of a pain is it to get in and out of the tail when one needs a bathroom break? Also do you guys get carried by the sailors from behind the scenes to your "grotto" or do you get wheeled out on some contraption?

Gorgeous! I'm glad things are working out for now with the other mermaids. You look so happy in the pics! I am also curious about how the tail works. Zipper? Buttons? What is it made out of? It looks fantastic!

It is made out of dragon skin silicone and we slide in (well, we wiggle and pull and tug). It is easier to get out than it is to get in.

The tails are really heavy, so we are only carried in emergencies. We put on and take off our tails in place.

Are you loowed to wiggle out of there on breaks?  How would that work, with people freely walking around?

we have to wear hooded coverups when we wander around the faire

Very cool! You could always use ice packs wrapped in washcloths to cool down in the summer.
