Do You Think G1 MLPs look Sad?

One or two poses look wistful, but in general; no.

the pose i think looks a little sad is the shy pose for me, but i think of that as so sweet - my fav pose =3

Perhaps a tiiiny bit on the collectors pose, but overall no, I think they have a sweet look about them that is lacking in other generations that more focus on cute than sweet..

I kind of know what you mean, but no. I love the way they look and don't think they look sad really - it's just the way they are!

I think there are a few that look kind of sad to me. Otherwise I feel they are always happy

Crumpet does, especially when I look at her from a distance and cannot see how she's smiling shyly under her flocking. Flutters certainly have a touch of melancholy to their expression, but who could call Posey or Milky Way sad?

They all smile a little, of some sorts, but they aren't so overly happy as the new generations. They are modest.

I have never thought of them as sad.  I think the shy pose and collector pose ponies look wistful and maybe a little bashful but certainly not sad.

I would say no. Although perhaps I do see where you are coming from on the collectors pose - they could perhaps look a little sad.

I've never really thought about it before, but I can see what you mean! Most of the poses to me seem happy, but the 'shy' pose that Applejack is in seems a little sad. Bubbles also looks slightly down- but at least she has a smile! The G1s are just a little more reserved than the other generations, I'd say.
