I think I have a Sophie doll.
« on: April 03, 2013, 08:21:57 PM »
I went to a thrift store while away on vacation and rescued two dolls from the $1 bin.  I gave the Mulan doll I'd found to my sister and kept this one doll from Spinmaster with painted on blonde hair, a strange tube on the top of her head, and huge dolly eyes that aren't painted on but the same kind you'd probably see on a Volks doll.

Her body is jointed and her bottom has white painted on undies.  She was filthy, so I gave her a good washing.

My question is, with her head in the state that it's in, will a new Liv dolly wig work on her head?  I'm not sure if it's missing any parts for the wig to attach.

She is a Liv Hayden! As to which release, not too sure. >,<;

That peg is not supposed to be in there. It looks like the peg on the previous wig has snapped off and is stuck in the slot, should be a simple fix. See if you can use a pair of pliers and take out the clear plastic peg, after that, she should be able to wear wigs again!

Hopefully the previous owner didn't super glue the wig peg to her wig slot with the previous wig or anything.

Is only the peg supposed to come out and not the whole of the cap?  There's a little seam all around the crown of her head with the peg in the center.  I don't see any signs of glue.

That little peg inside her head, is the peg inside the wig.

If you can get it out, she should be good as new

Used my Leatherman on it and it popped off cleanly with little effort. X3  There's no rattling inside the head, so I think that's all that was holding on.
