I've been bitten by the G2 bug!

I might have to look into some G2s someday. I had a second childhood pony I hardly ever played with that I think could have been Sweet Berry - but since I didn't play with her much, I can't be too sure! I don't know why I didn't care for her at the time, I must have just really preferred the fuzzy pony

I love that all generations have a pretty good-sized fanbase here, including G2. I always loved them, accepting them immediately as new My Little Ponies when they first appeared.

(The one thing I don't get is why websites insist on reporting that some of the sets were never released in the U.S., such as Sundance and Lightheart's birthday thing, Moon Shadow and her dresser, etc. They were released in the U.S.! I found them at Big Lots and Toys R Us! I can't believe no one else besides me ever found them here.)

No thats right...the US got all 1997 ponies and most 1998 ponies - so I am sure other people found them as well The worldwide release stopped after the second year.

I love G2s although I have a pretty small collection of them - I am sure you ll grow to want even more cricket - they have the most amazing accessories!

I didn't like G2s until I got one. It's the eyes, I think; they're sparkly and that makes them look sweeter.

G2 was the last generation I caved on. I only have 10, but I want so many more. I wish I had caved before when you could get them for so cheap. I remember seeing MOC ones on ebay for like 8-12 dollars. I could kick myself for not buying them up then. lol



PS: Come to the G3.5 side! They are so cute. And they make adorable customs!

Caffled as well I was not going to have any G2 or G3 and defiantly G4......... Ye that lasted a long time!!!

I only have a small selection of them but the odd one keeps coming in every so often

AUUGHH I know, G2's are dangerous! I never, ever thought I'd want them (despite the fact that they are technically the ponies of my childhood, since I grew up in the 90's...) but then I bought a pony and the seller threw in a slightly baity but still cute Ivy as an extra.

I tried to put her in the back of my herd where I couldn't see her. But then I bought a lot with a G2 Sundance in it. Not on purpose. I didn't realize she was there until I opened the box and boom, there she was. They keep creeping into my life! And now I don't even hate them! I don't mind them. Oh god. D:

Ah, the great and powerful G2. the only thing i had related to it as a kid was the computer game (friendship meadow or something?) which i loved to BITS. there are so many nicely colored G2s, its hard to choose a favorite :3
