Styling TAF Sundance's hair

I have a TAF Sundance to clean, well her body is clean now, what is left is to fix her hair. I know that the UV parts of it are sensitive to heat, as in flat iron, but what about just washing it, does the water need to be lukewarm? Can too hot water ruin the hair as well? Is it okay to wash it at all?

I washed a TAF Megan recently (she has the same color changing streak) and had no problems - I didn't use hot water, just warm and cold, standard Dawn soap, and conditioner.  Her hair was pretty frizzy at the ends to begin with, but it didn't make it any worse.

I washed mine with warm water and used conditioner and she still works perfectly

I agree that you dont have to worry too much about the conditioner/shampoo as you ll be fine to use those to clean her hair. But you should stick to warm but not hot water. Unfortunately it is possible for colours to get "stuck" and the more they change the quicker the colour changing properties will be damaged. So better safe than sorry!

Thanks for the replies. I didn't know that Megan's hair changes colour too! I also didn't know that Sundance's tail changes colour until I googled photos of her. I'm fixing up my friend's childhood ponies and I have Megan here as well. I've tried googling photos of Megan's original hairdo but haven't found any good examples, if anyone knows what she's supposed to look like I'd be glad to know. She's supposed to have a ribbon, right?

Basically it's just a ponytail on the top of her head, with a pink ribbon matching the one on her dress.

Thank you. One interesting thing is that my friend's childhood TAF Megan doesn't have bangs.
