Quote from: animal_lover on April 02, 2013, 05:05:36 AMI actually sometimes feel like they make her look really young with the obnoxious amounts of pink, all the ruffles and frills and the double pigtails. Her character always acts all sweet and innocent like a child. I think all that is what we're used to seeing for her and i think that's why she looks so mature now. I'm not saying any of that in a negative way, just pointing out things I've noticed. But I will not be getting either of these dolls.To me it's just the right amount of pink, not obnoxious at all And the ruffles and frills and pigtails are referencing lolita fashion, which I love. Lolita style doesn't necessarily = childish I do think her new outfit is really cute too, and I'd like to get it for one of my dolls--just not Lala, heh. I prefer my Lalas to be even more lolita than they are, not less, lol But as long as we keep getting some Lalas like her Diener version, I'm good

Black, pink, and white is just a perfect color scheme to me (second to black and purple!), and the more gothic and/or lolita she looks, the better. I adore it.

I'd LOVE to see Lala in an actual lolita outfit though, and not just lolita inspired stuff. I think it'd be really cute. The closest she's come is the Sweet 1600 outfit (which really had a bit more of a Gal look to it with her hair) and the School's Out Lala/Clawd 2-pack, which once more had yellow in it and was really more inspired than anything.

I'd love to see Draculaura in an actual lolita outfit as well. <3 I'm a sucker for the gothic lolita style. xDMonster High is now in Japan, right? I think it would be neat if there was a special Draculaura that wore either a Gothic Lolita or Sweet Lolita outfit, even if it ended up being a Japan exclusive (....which I totally hope doesn't happen. xD)
CAM question! Does anyone know how to get that 'smell' out of the CAMs head... Kinda a rubbery latex smell... I have some new CAMS and the smell is driving me insane Ive tried letting them air out for a week tried soap and water... Anyone else have this problem... Or found a solution ?

I hope they never make a Japan exclusive doll. It's difficult enough from EU and Aussie people to get a hold of some of the store exclusives we have in the US... Just imagine if there was a Japan exclusive? Especially because it'd wind up being super expensive for EVERYONE. I love some of the Japanese dolls like Takara Jenny/Licca, Pullip and Blythe, but even Jenny and Licca who are playline dolls like Barbie and MH are super expensive to import. ;.;
Honestly that sounded really iffy to begin with to me. I mean, honestly, why would a boy buy a Spectra if he had free reign of eBay? I'd think a kid doing that without his parents knowing would get something a bit different than a doll?
