My mom got me a G2 pony for my latest B-day. I only had those when I was young so she came as a big suprise. (I only collected the G4 ones) However her hair was all tangled up and she had some really nasty spots on her body. But I cleaned her up an thanks to her I start to collect the other pony's now also:

i wonder if acetone can, if it melts plastic, can close scratches and such on ponies?

That's a really interesting thought actually. I may just have to try this on Gingerbread if I ever come across a bottle of pure acetone. (I've always just used nail polish remover, then wiped it off the plastic to prevent breakdown.)

I don't know about acetone, but I've had boiling water close hair plugs up really tight. (I was trying to get stubborn glue out... no such luck.) I'm really interested in testing pure acetone or boiling water on little puncture holes on ponies now.

i could nearly completely close a few unwanded plugs on a g4 with acetone, but i guess boilling is faster?
anyone who tries this on a g1 let me know if it works!

It an interesting idea...but I would warn that you are essentially melting the plastic so you could end up with blistering or brittle plastic or even something you completely did not intend to do. So while it could work on some occasions...personally I wouldn't like to use it without knowing it could go wrong.

But thats just me being paranoid probably

Okay, mine aren't as bad as the others but I thought I'd share some of my flawed beauties.



Two childhood Peach Blossom flutters.  One I as a child (about 4 yrs old maybe) decided she needed more flowers with an ink pen.  I decided after that that I probably shouldn't have done that.  Lesson learned.

I got baby Moon Dancer I got later in my childhood along with several others.  She has had these two spots and the pink spot since I got her.  I love her as she is.  I have a better condition one but she is the displayed one (other one sits behind her).

Got this pretty girl in 2011 at the WI pony meet.  I love her because of all the pink stains all over her body.  It looks like she just got into the candied apples and I caught her red handed (uh, I mean pink spotted).

This Butterscotch I found and fell in love with her one "elf" ear.  Her hair is a different shade from my other, so now I display two FF versions of her.

I got this one from Emery.  I love that she is sporting a "flock of seagulls" hairdo.  She's got plenty of attitude and she doesn't need a tail (she's a bit of a rebel lol).  I have another one that is in really great shape but this one also gets on display since I like her so much.

loving these ponies guys!  I know they are all sad and needed good, loving homes, but I like seeing the baitiest of baity ponies being loved.  I need to show you all some of mine...will post pics tomorrow.  They are all definitely baits, but I want to help some of them out into new life.  =]
