Gauging interested in a G3 swap. Starting in May.

Thanks Kiwi for posting that. I've been looking for rules/restrictions for newbies regarding swaps but can't find anything...is there a post somewhere that states what newbies require to participate?

There are no set rules, as it fluctuates on a swap-by-swap basis. It's up to the host how they want to handle newbies (allow them, allow some [limited number - usually grouped together], allow none) - it all depends on the host, swap, and such.

That's part of the reason ALL swaps now have to be reviewed and approved before taking sign-ups, so we can see the host's plans on allowing/not allowing newbies into the swap and what restrictions they have on (ie feedback, post counts, etc), and what their back-up plan is for any flakers.

I would LOVE to get in on this too! I've got a giant box of g3's that are all doubles of the ones I already have. Most of them are in great shape too, and I'd hate to bait them when there is no reason to! I have such a soft spot for the g3's... Count me in!!

Lady Starflower has asked about newbies and restrictions. Since she is the host it is ultimately her decision in whether we allow newbies and the requirements.

I was debating between this one and the girly swap, but I think I'm going with this.   I just want some more G3s. There are some on my wishlist I want really bad.
May seems so far away though! I can't start shopping until then anyways.   I'm excited about this swap, though.

DazzleKitty it will most likely be before May. I'm going over the guidelines and putting together a proposal for MOD approval shortly and we'll have sign ups soon. I'm thinking we start in April and have ship dates after the fair so it will allow a long buying time as I find that reduces a lot of stress.

I'm hoping to have sign ups this weekend or early next week, not set in stone but keep your eye out : )

I was thinking and am wondering if I should actually be doing any swaps with the MLP fair in July. Chances are some of the G3s I need may be there and I'll be tempted to buy them.

Well......there will be a lot I am tempted to buy at that fair. LOL

Of Course I am in! I do not have a lot of swap experience, I have done one private swap and one Halloween swap, but I have wonderful reviews as far as buy/sell/trade! I pretty much still need quite a few common g3s, so this would be great! Yay to the G3!

I would love to get involved in this, I have a ton of G3s still on my want list! However, I'm not sure I'm eligible seeing as I've not been involved in a trade yet on the Arena? (This is probably in the rules, I've just scanned it and seen nothing but I'm really tired and may have missed it?)
