New doll is a bit... off...
« on: February 25, 2013, 01:16:08 PM »
I just puchased Dance Class Lagoona today and she's absolutely gorgeous!  However, there are some things that have me concerned:
1.  Her arms and hands are fully painted.  I think it looks absolutely horrible (mainly because it's a sloppy job).  Is this normal?  I've never seen it on another doll before.
2.  One of her legs is really super loose.  Like 360-degree turn in its socket loose.  Any way to fix that?

That her lower arms and hands are painted is normal, since those pieces are made from clear plastic just like her fins. It's often done sloppy - Sadly. You could try to fix it yourself with paint and/or acetone-free nail polish remover.. but exchanging her won't help much since they all have this issue in some way. :/

No idea about the leg tho, sorry! I hope someone else can help you fix it!

Lagoona's lower arms and hands are always painted. It's because they're made with translucent plastic and then painted over so that only the fins and webbing remain translucent.

All the dolls legs can be rotated 360 degrees at the knee.

Oh, I thought they could only rotate left and right and stop after a bit.  News to me. :)  Thanks for answering!
