Impulse buy... I have an SD! O.o

So I went to my first BJD meet today and was talking to some of the other people about how I eventually wanted an MSD doll, but would likely never buy anything bigger.  Then I went and checked out the sales table, just for giggles.  I hardly had any money, so wasn't expecting to actually buy anything.  I kept finding myself holding this gorgeous SD-sized doll, playing with her, wishing I could afford her.  I asked who was selling her, she was tracked down, and we worked out a layaway where I am going to pay $50 a month for the next 6 months (unless I can pay her off sooner) and I got to take her home today!

So, literally less than an hour after I said I would probably never own a large doll, I bought my first SD on an impulse!    She's a Boy and Girl Aurora and is just stunning.  I have no idea what I'm going to do with her, but she has so much potential!

She makes my other dolls look so darn TINY!

That's very kind of the seller to offer a convenient layaway for you, then let you take her home at the same time.
Looking forward to see how beautiful she could be. And ooh, your other dolls are lovely too (my favorite is Beyla)! So I think it will be the same with Aurora.

Yeah, I was shocked and thrilled when she said I could take the doll with me!  I left her my phone number and email, so she would know I'm not planning on disappearing with her doll. 

I've been playing with ideas for how I want her to look and who she will be.  So many options!

My first doll was an SD Annette, I jumped straight in with big dolls and kept buying bigger My biggest is 73 cm!

Though I have found a love for small ones too (as you know, I am paying off my winnie de Ai)

I found a good spot for her on my shelf too, only had to displace a few ponies.    I love how she looks holding on to Lutra!    She holds her poses so well too.

The lighting is a little bit spooky lol, like holding a flashlight under your chin telling a ghost story!    But the shelves are right next to my nightstand.

Yeah, I was googling her for ideas. With a good faceup, she is AMAZING! I am debating whether I want to wait and try to snag a spot with xhanthi or if I should send her to the artist that painted Amber. I just have to decide who she'll be.

Thank you, I adore her!  I've pretty much decided how I want her to look I think.  I'm going with a neutral faceup so she can have lots of different wig colors if I want and she's going to be my smarty pants.    I already found some dolly-sized MacBooks, iPads, and iPhones, she needs them all!  Some time soon, I'm taking her down to DDE and trying on wigs and eyes.  My mom is going to come with me, she wants to look at Puki Pukis and Real Pukis.  Actually, she's totally in love with this new doll and wants an SD, but only has room for teeny dolls.  But I think she's going to get her first BJD really soon now.

Is it weird to recycle a doll's personality?  I've traded Becca, but the personality I think I've decided on for Aurora is so similar, I'm even considering using the same name and just reshelling her from a Pullip into a BJD.
