I like that idea Firehooves! You could drop some members who you know have written fan fiction some pms and see if they are ok with you linking to some of their material That could make this a reference thread for all types of MLP fan fiction!

I wrote one in high-school. It is about G1 and G2. Origins of G2s. I made some illustrations for it too. If anyone would be interested in reading I think I still have it somewhere. I'd have to check. I got third place in a fan-fic competition. I think only five entries though.

but when i get some going on it I will l ink you to my DA stash and you can tell me what you think ok!?

I'm actually thinking of creating a new pony universe that takes inspiration from G1 and G4 as well as some other sources.  I'm working on a social structure and some culture norms taking inspiration from horse behavior and some historical knowledge (like the ponies have a well established hierarchy but make major decisions democratically where the value of an opinion is gauged on knowledge instead of status).  I would actually like some feedback on the ideas before I start forming a story.
