I hate to just repeat what everyone else has said, but wow! These look awesome! I knew restoring old toys was possible, but this is just incredible! Makes me want to go Goodwilling or Craigslisting for decrepit old ponies to fix up and/or practice on. Thanks for being such an inspiration!

Seashell added! What a labour of love she was! One of my favorites as a child and even though she was in bad shape, I couldn't bring myself to bait her.

As always, thanks for all the lovely comments!

What paint did you use on sugarberry and what did you use to take it back off

I used Folk Art acrylic white paint. Then rubbing alcohol to take it off. I think it might have faded the symbols a bit - I may have just rubbed too hard cause I was impatient to get it off. I'd try it on a baity pony first to see if it fades, maybe if you don't rub so hard it would be fine :)

Another SS Lofty added - this time deflocked! I think I'm becoming addicted to deflocking - WHY did Hasbro cover up such bright and pretty colours?!

Shadowlark, your restorations are amazing!  I love how you can turn sad, grubby ponies into happy, beautiful ponies ready for display.      :iconclap:

How much pressure do you apply when cleaning ponies with the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers when you are cleaning ponies?  I'm always super nervous that I'll take my ponies' eyes or symbols off if I try to clean them! lol

Also, have you ever/would you ever consider posting how-to videos for some of the techniques that you use?

Awww thanks!

I scrub pretty hard over most of the body but a bit lighter over the symbols/eyes/blush just in case. I haven't had the magic eraser do any damage yet but just in case.

I never thought of doing videos...LOL I didn't think what I was doing was all that impressive! LOL Something to consider one day maybe :)
