Antro Ponies... For Real?

Have you people ever seen a real human before?  Well, they tend to have hair all over their bodies.  So the ponies looking like they have skin color same as their respective coat colors might actually mean that the girls have that much hair on their heads while in human form rather than have those respective skin colors.

The only concern I have about this anthro show is that if it becomes more popular than FiM then perhaps one day it could infact replace ponies completely, including the toys Yes it may be a spin off along side FiM now but who knows how big a fan base this show could generate.

Wow, I would go CRAZY over a new Moondreamers-line. I still get all fuzzy-lovey-dovey over the cartoon everytime I get reminded of it <3

OT...Meh, they don't look special or especially inventive to me. There are so many dolls on the market now (MH, Novi Stars, Cutie Pops, Barbie) That do have great features and are so popular, I don't think this would be popular. Kids want ponies

I don't think Moondreamers would go over well with the tween market they are aiming at but Jem woulda been perfect. She's a pop star and how many tweens love pop stars like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry? Hell my sister is right in that age range and she loved the Jem reruns.

Also, I don't think these are anthro, if by anthro you mean an animal character with human features.  They don't have pony ears, horns, wings, tails or anything like that. 

Indeed, you are right. I should have used "humanized" or something like that o.o Antro (ehe, totally forgot the H due to my 1st language =o.o=), anthropomorphic, is really not the case in the presented designs.

I don't understand why they kept the skin color like coat color. Will the humans have random skin colors? Because if the "ponies" will not "blend" in (with the rest of the school students) at all, why not keep them as ponies?
But yet again, not sure how official is the art presented.

Perhaps because (sadly) there already has been quite some drama when it comes to humanized ponies and skin color...Giving them their coat color is probably the most drama free solution.

I'm not thrilled over this idea, but I am going to be patient.  Hoaxes have happened before (which is what I'm leaning toward this being).  Even if it is an actual spin off series though, I can just choose not to watch it and watch my colourful ponies instead.

The designs are cute enough, although some to me don't fit the character too well. But for all we know these could be really early concepts.
If this is true then I'll just wait and see before passing any real judgement.

I am sooo interested to see where this goes.  Hopefully it will be just as awesome as FiM.  And oh man am I hoping the dolls are lovely and articulated.

I emailed Hasbro asking if the pic was official.   they emailed back asking for a link to the pic, so I made a screen grab and sent it.  So far I'm pleased that they haven't ignored me or brushed me off.

Lol this! I havent been able to suss out why they seem to be getting called anthro all over the internet. They are clearly supposed to be human - or as only time will tell "dolls".
