Kinda hate the seaserpent. I'd rather he wasn't stuck in the water and was a full figure on his own, he wouldn't be any hard to balance than the pinkie pie blindbag. I think. Maybe.

EDIT: Forgot to say, love the look of the new TRU pack. Definitely getting it.

:)  I just saw this vid :)

Holy cow! That new twilight sparkle is pretty cool. I thought she was just going to be like the Celestia one (which I have passed on each time)... but she moved and reacts to motion sensors.... might have to reconsider. :D

*edit to add* The masked ponies appear to be in the Crystal Princess Coronation Set  that has alicorn Twilight as the logo.

Who might this pony be? A new pony!!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/paulnomad/8459433667/in/set-72157632732632786/

Is it just me, or is Diamond Tiara's cutie mark ridiculously small?

New pony is a crystal empire pony if you look at the eyes. Wonder if she'll be a new character

Forgive me if I don't understand, but why do so many people have a problem with lack of brushables in favor of molded figures? Shouldn't it be a good thing that new toys are more show accurate, instead of all using the same generic doll hair?

Because people like styling hair. Because there's a nice variety. Because there are a lot of mini figures already.

And not everyone cares about accuracy, especially when there's new characters made for the toyline.

Lots of people enjoy styling their pony's hair.  Show accurate isn't that important to me as long as I like the toy itself.

I can answer this!

1) Hair styling is fun!
2) In the old gens, there were tons of toys that were toy only and not in the show, so exact accuracy isn't something that's been of huge interest until now
3) I actually collect the minifigs too, so I'd be happy with lots of both.
4) Hair is super fun.

Because most of use have been collecting mlp for a long time before fim.  We are here primarily for the toys, not the show.  And being able to brush and style your ponies' hair has been a defining characteristic of mlp since inception 30 years ago.  It would be like taking Barbie and saying " hey, we aren't going to make new clothes for her anymore, in fact now we are only going to make her as a completely molded figure with plastic hair."

Wowza, NOW I'm impressed! I still REALLY wish there were less BBs and more brushables, but I can deal with it for now.

I really want that Flim/Flam figure!

I'm a little confused as to why they put that other lyre pony in the TRU set, AND made her a BB pony, when she was probably only shown in one episode (I'm guessing). And someone else mentioned earlier that she has the same symbol as Lyra...that is kind of a cop out! And I'm not crazy about the painted on jewelry. AND I wish they had chosen a background character with a more interesting /not-almost-the-same-as-Lily Blossom color scheme. But despite all my whining, she is pretty and I do want her. And I wonder if her having unicorn eyes but no horn is a sign that we will soon have unicorns with more round eyes.

Also I'm confused about Lyra Heartstrings having darker hair, but she's so pretty! I hope she actually has that color when she's released. That way I won't have true doubles of her lol. Plus...SO PRETTY.

And OMG that amazing new yellow pony! I am wondering if it might be a male...there don't seem to be any eyelashes. o.O

I actually think Steven Magnet is a hilarious/good choice for the serpent's name! I don't know if I'd really consider it a Brony name per se, as they didn't come up with it. They just ran with the error. I thought it was funny from day one.

For a lot of us older collectors, a 'true' My Little Pony has brushable hair. That's how MLP started. The 'real' hair is half the point! =P That said I enjoy molded hair as well, but the quintessential pony will always be one with brushable hair. I don't even count BBs or anything similar as part of my collection when I'm totaling up how many ponies I have. They're kind of a side line of toys to me. Also, I collect the toys because I like the toys. There being a show and merchandise is just a bonus to me. So I don't always care about show accuracy.

The molded hair Luna is my definite favorite of the day! She's already gorgeous; can't wait to see her properly painted :)

I personally loathe the blindbag scale. It's far too small and lacks too much detail for me to fully enjoy, as well as I got into the hobby DUE to the Brushable scale ponies. So it's disappointing hasbro isn't focusing on this scale asides from large exclusives.

...I thought she was blue, though? With a small hint of purple? She needs to be a little bit darker, but she's not as purple as her toys make her seem.
