How's everyone up here holding up? A GIANT tree just came down and barely missed our house!

Not so bad here, we are right on the ocean so we did not go to snow till late.  My sister who is 20 minutes away on the north shore of Long Island though has been snowing since this afternoon and has twice the amount we are getting.  The wind has picked up big time now and we are in whiteout mode now. 

Glad that tree missed.

I live in central Connecticut, and we've had 6 inches of snow in the last hour alone, bringing us to about a foot! :/

Bare ground now, s'posed to get 4-6 inches Sunday.  Minor snowfall for here, but if it drifts, could be interesting.

When I went out earlier, I got stuck on the road on an incline because of all of the snow on it even though the plows had just gone through. I ended up having to go down the hill backwards until I could find a spot where I could turn my car around. That's a lesson learned on my part. When somebody says I shouldn't go out in a blizzard, I shouldn't go out in a blizzard.

We got about 4-5 inches here. My parents let me park in the garage over night so my car was snow free xD This is my first year driving in snow and I have already knocked a big chunk out of my bumper when I hit a curb the last time it snowed :/

So.... abput 40 inches this morning!!! Cannot BELIEVE it is over 3 feet!! I can't see my car!!!

Its sunny now but yesterday was brutal.  The snows up past my knees!

Maine got record breaking snowfall for one storm. 29 inches so far, with the last record being 27 inches back in 1979 (according to the new person on the tv anyway!)

When I opened my front door this morning, the snow that had piled up in front of it was over my knees! Suffice to say, I did not go out yesterday and today is looking like another day inside. At least it's supposed to stop someday time and Sunday will be a clean-up day, so I'll be able to go to work on Monday...

So glad your house was missed, dxgirly! Stay inside and stay safe!

I live in the southern part of Connecticut and we have probably three feet as well. I'll attach a photo of my car snowed in momentarily.

The roads are a disaster and the plow hasn't even touched my parking lot, so I may be stranded at home for quite some time!
