Another day of lovely dolls ! Thanks, ya'll, for showing us yours. Post more, everybody !

I was kinda sad to hear so many people call the upcoming Music Festival DracuLaura and Clawd set 'boring' and 'plain', even though I can see where where those comments came from. Compared to what we've seen the MH team knock out, they do look unexceptional. But hey, it's a chance to get Clawd if you didn't, and I'm all for those monsterriffic guys !

Still, it was on what passes for my mind when I made my own 'Beach Music Festival' Gil and Lagoona !

I wanted to experiment with just how plain I could sew clothes for them, and friends and fans, it don't get much plainer than that ! Basic boring blue - a recycled men's dress shirt's sleeves - with next to no fun detail work, in the most simple of shapes. All the accessories, from shoes to hair to backdrop, are recycled. I even put Gil in shorts (although I could have easily made pants) because everybody hates the guys in shorts all the time.

They make C & D look exotic ! So, while I apologize for the yawn-fest, it does help me focus more on the doll and less on his/her outfit - which actually helps improve my sewing. For the finished 'fashions' to be this unremarkable on such remarkable figures, my sewing has to be good enough to not be noticed at all. Yesss !

So, while I apologize for the yawn-fest

I don't think it's a yawn-fest at all! The fact that you have the motivation and skills to sew custom clothes at all is amazing to me. Sure they're basic, but it sort of makes the features of the dolls pop out more! That's something you don't get with their regular, flashy clothing. Besides, basic isn't always bad. There's a charm to it. I'm impressed, at least!

LOVE her mejohnson!!!  The headband is awesome!     I really liked the ice girl when I first got her but now that I've snazzed up my other CAM's she's looking pretty meh!  I've been thinking about pulling her out and having a go at a new outfit and your pics here have made me REALLY want to now.

Got myself a Cleo that's a keeper (and no tinsel)! I can already tell she's going to be a strong personality. Her attitude is very much: "Yes I'm gracing you with my presence. You're welcome."

Fauna... I was playing around with wigs last night because I have 2 sets of Ice/Blob girls and I am meh on the one blob girl because I didnt like having matching sets... (both ice girls sporting the same blue/pink wig... Well I was playing around with this wig and when I put it on the blob girl... I was like meh... not what I want... but the instant I put it on the ice girl... OMG!! Loved it!!! Lol... and lagoona's skull shores top was perfect... I am debating about making a white skirt to go with it... maybe off white.. I dunno... Im gunna play around with it

Thank you!  It was a freebie from Good Will.      I saw it in a big tub they had thrown all the loose stuff in.  Asked them how much they'd charge me for it and they just gave it to me!!!

ah they eyes and the long eye lashes! that worked for me and my husband when we were kids (people always wanted to touch my hair too... ) and today it works for both my girls lol

It's reversible - sparkly black to this bright disco-ball silver. A bunch of this fabric was given to me so I'll be experimenting... this dress is really basic but I like it, cuz the fabric is so SHINY!!
