Need some help with my Salter kitchen scale

I have a Salter Kitchen scale model 6055 I use to weigh my packages. The batteries had died but when I opened  the battery pack to replace them I found I had accidently bought the wrong batteries. I got the new batteries but now can't remember how the thing goes back together

Does anyone have the one with the instructions or can just explain how it goes back together? It's the red and the black wire thingies that I'm having trouble with. (my scale didn't have instructions and google turned up nothing).

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
