UK postal problems?

Is anyone else in the UK having problems with their post? Mine is very erractic, I have two parcels from peeps here in the UK that haven't arrived with me when they were sent around 11 days ago. Also there is a US one which I think is up to 17 days, but I'm not too worried about that. I just wonder what has happened to these. We had snow, but that was ages ago now.

Anyone else missing post?

oh dear i was wondering if you had got the packet i sent you yet i have found in the past 1st class mail can take upto 7 days to arrive.

Yes, I was wondering when I should contact you about it. Boo, horrid post. Your package and another sent on the same day have both not arrived yet, I did think it was snow-related but they've had enough time to sort it out by now. I hope they are not lost

Yep! My post is all over the place  I paid for 1st class recorded shipping on a bag on ebay for a friends birthday............took a week to arrive

I sent an item out on the 11th of January 2nd class and my buyer still hasn't got it yet

But then my friend sent me a parcel by standard mail (usually takes 3-5 days) on monday, I had it the next day

I have not got the foggiest as to whats going on with royal mail atm

Bleh! Royal Mail!   They are definitely all over the place    some stuff arrives super fast, other stuff.. it should be 1-2 days arriving and shows up  7 + days later  - and thats in the UK .  Some places are getting mail less times in the week than they should as well. Some PO's closed with the snow last week and delayed stuff there....  *sigh*    By first class  it took 3 weeks for one of my items to get to the buyer within the UK.
I'm waiting for a lot of parcels to arrive as well    So I wouldnt be worried about the items being missing yet...

Hope they get it in gear for you soon.  I know USPS has been all over the place too. It's frustrating, especially when you are waiting on something.

I think other places are having more trouble than others. A friend and I had packages come from the same store in Japan and hers was mailed later but arrived yesterday, whereas mine apparently only entered customs yesterday (50p over, too, this gonna be expensive DX ). It depends on how efficient your post office is :<

I'm also having intermittent issues - I sent a parcel to the US on the 5th Jan and it only arrived today (normally gets there in a week), and I discovered my new credit card that was sent in December never arrived either Most of my internal UK post has been okay though, or only delayed a little.

Well I'm obviously sad that everyone's post is messed up, but at the same time glad its not just me. I sent something yesterday at 5pm ish and it arrived today! Makes no sense. The post is just really erratic it seems.

Just to update, still no packages. I've had others since as well. I'm going to call my local depot but urgh, it's so annoying.
