So I got this Home Ick Frankie a while ago (before I found out she was going to be re-released so she wasn't very cheap either...), when she arrived everything looked awesome except... she's a total gluehead. Darn it, I thought and put her on my shelf while I figured out what to do with her.
Later I read the glue seepage thread which inspired me to try my cat's ear cleaning oil thingy (mostly tea tree oil in it... Also, my cat doesn't need it anymore) on Frankie Gluestein's hair. It sorta worked somewhat and she sat on my shelf for a bit again.
Sooo, today I decided that what the heck I'll try some baby oil to get rid of that pesky glue. Great idea! Not. While I think most of the glue stickiness disappeared, the white hair turned yellowish, which I could totally live with, the worst part is that, somewhere between the oil treatment and the dish soap washes, most of her eye decals fell off...
Now I have a completely ruined Frankie and I'm not a customizer, trying to repaint such tiny things will probably drive me bonkers... Anyone got any ideas...?
