I really like all the pictures of the ponies with these curls. This might be really obvious  but how exactly do you make the curls? would love to have a go at it.

Here is an awesome tutorial

If you leave them overnight, you will get looser curls but they will probably fall out over time. The only way I've gotten mine to stay is to boil them or hold them in the steam over boiling water.

I voted yes, but really only on certain poines I think. I agree with Falconaitae - stripes do look good curled like this.
But oLumeVaSti - those are so beautiful, I need to learn how you did that ^_^

Here is my best straw curl (still learning) :

To this (not perfect on a couple, but still pretty ^_^)

I did Lyra's by rolling her hair over and over on a straw. Dewdrop's I made a loop over astraw and let it dry. Then I rolled the hair over to make a bump and pinned it back with a clip. Lemon Drop's I used two coffee stirs and rolled her hair over and over and let dry

OK..I am REALLY getting addicted to doing this to my pony's hair.
Well here's a couple of other victims that i did some other stuff with...
G3 rarity here volunteered to be qtiped rather than strawed

I like how it turned out...
here's Sew and so...

I very carefully pulled all of her straws out at once.
Don't know this little lady's name but what i did here was just yank the straws out with out planning it.

again i like how it turned out.
and here are all of them again

The only thing stopping me from straw curling my ponies' hair this very moment is my lack of straws.
I love curls.

I like them on those ponies which originally had this type of curls... If they're well made and symmetrical :)
