This is a Lady Flutter whom I got as bait, the kind of bait where you open the box of ponies and are hit by the smell of mould, rust, and that 'stored in the attic' scent. She had no wings, a body full of rust and was covered in grime... and she wasn't the worst in the box!

I've cleaned/scrubbed the rest (all G1s) but wanted to give her a chance, as it was sad that someone had cut her wings off. As it happens, about eight years ago I made a custom winger from a Sky Dancer and I kept her mangled, chewed-up wings for some unknown reason. They've been in my old desk since then, which I just cleared and found.

So, FRANKENWINGER! She's got dry hair, scuffed symbols, and crumply wings, but she looks happier (and CLEANER after several hours of soaking and scrubbing) for the effort.

I didn't think to snap a 'before' photo, she was so grotty that she went straight into hot water/soap when she got here. The worst... that's between a Sprinkles who was full of rust/discoloured, and the Peachy & Tutti-Fruiti who were basically black inside, with hair cuts to boot.
*most* of them have scrubbed up nicely. I am forever grateful to whoever it was who pointed out that denture cleaning tablets will dissolve rust out of ponies.

There are legitimate Frankenwingers - they seem to be along the same lines as the UK oddball Flutters, Happy Tails, Princesses - Summer Wing bodies with Windy Wing wings...weird!

I think she looks great Dusky And you have to wonder at the life and adventure such ponies have had dont you!

she looks nice with those wings! I can't really tell exactly how they're damage, but if they have a lot of creases and bumps, I've had a little success quickly ironing chewed up wings on a low setting with paper between the wing and the iron.
