Wow, so impressed!  I am still too scared to try my hand at customising, but your post inspires me.  What did you find the most helpful, and what problems did you encounter along the way?  Any recommendations for dos and don'ts?  I agree with others re: being shocked that this is your first custom.  Not only did you rehair and paint, but you made a very clever tail and handsewn leg warmers and a scarf!  Awesome job.

You should totally feel  :accomplished:

Thank you so much ^.^ Personally I think what helps the most is not caring what other people will think and just giving it your best shot. I looked at a lot of tutorials before I started so I would have a better idea of how to go about it. The BIGGEST problem I had was to get the dang tail to stay on...I TRIED EVERYTHING fabri-tac, craft glue, wood glue, and hot glue and it still kept falling off so finally I had to go with super glue. The only other times it was frustrating was because I had no experience, rerooting for example can be a little difficult but other than that it wasn't too bad. I do have a knack for craft projects so I kind of had the upper hand. As for do's and don'ts all I can really say is be sure to be patient, thinning your paint and giving it a couple coats looks a lot smoother and be sure to wait until its dry to add another layer. Also I definitely recommend laying the pony on a piece of cardboard if your baking pieces onto it. As for the legwarmers all I did was sew them together inside out then turn them right side out and glue them on so they looked proper lol. Thank you for your appreciation. I definitely think you should give customizing a shot its a lot of fun  :biggrin:

I have OCD with weird things....like my bedroom is kind of messy but when it comes to me actually doing anything it has to be as perfect as possible...drives me crazy at work when one thing on a shelf is crooked O_o

Haha! This is me sometimes, I would fix the shelves constantly especially after someone had just rummaged through the PSP section. For some reason they always got really messy!
At home I have a pretty messy desk.... heee
