SO WHO'S READY TO DROP $1,000?
« on: January 16, 2013, 02:51:22 PM »
I just saw a new ebay listing go up that had several obviously-very-played with condition ponies (Seashell, Firefly, Gusty, some McD ponies), none of them variants, and the person who has them is asking that bidding start at $1,000. Or, for the super desperate, you can buy them now for $1,100!

 :lookround:

So what other kinds of ridiculously crazy prices have you guys seen for ponies on eBay?  :P

People are able to list their ponies at any price they wish - no matter how wildly out they may be :( Thats the nature of ebay. All it takes is a little research and someone will get an idea of their actual items value - its always a shame when people dont make even a minor effort.

I have seen so many over valued and over priced listings that I am a little numb to them now lol...although to date the $10000 Sundance is close to the best *snort and nearly choke" listing I have seen.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

Just that bunch of sorta-mint-but-removed-from-their-cards from some hopeful seller out in western Canada, going for several hundred dollars apiece... but that was a month or so ago.  Nothing uber-crazy lately that I'd noticed (but now I'm going to go see if I can find those ponies, just for lolz!).

@ hathorcat:  $10k for Sundance?  Geez... that made me laugh so hard, I'm hiccuping! :lmao:

Wishlist - I'm back on (semi-) active buying again... can't buy everything on my wish list all at once (yay, back-to-school and tuition fees), but I am still looking to plump up my collection a bit more: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,380638.0.html

there is a phrase in spanish that we use in those cases:
"en pedir no hay engaƱo"
it means that a person can offer something at a certain price, but we are the ones that choose if to buy it or not.

if I were given a dime each time I find those offers...I'd be a millionaire...
I mean I have seen them even in my local selling sites, also, have you seen the ridiculous prices scalpers sell the MH dolls on ebay??

I saw the 10,000$ Sundance, and there was a seller trying to sell the Mane Six Fashion Styles MiB for 1000$.

There's also that one seller trying to push off things like a removed-from-card Applejack for..what, 600$? Yikes :(

The only legitimate big money sales I've seen for MLP has been a Greek Ladybug with her egg for around 3,000 or so, and huge 100+ pony lots. :U

I remember that sundance! Didn't a few members message the seller and they were completely rude and then re-listed her for like $1,000? *snort*

$10k for a SUNDANCE?  :silly: It's so funny when people don't do their research and come off looking like douches because they act like they know what they're talking about/selling. They never do! XP

I remember seeing a used ok conditioned sea pony listed for a pretty penny. I can't remember the price, but I know it was maybe around $1k? It made me laugh.

I am sick of resellers calling the 3 metallic BBs from the blue bags as EXTREMELY RARE CHASERS!!!

It's like, "No dude, no pony is rarer than any other pony in a case!". There's somebody trying to sell them for $30 a piece right now under that delusion, jeez.
