i´ll probably get killed for this, but when i find ponies which seem totally yuck, they get a ride in the washing machine.
that worked wonder so fast! XD and if the hair gets tangled, you usually could comb it out. ^^
but i wouldnt be sure if i would use it on rare ones. o.O mine are baits most of the time. ^^"
let us know what worked good!

Oh, I remember a thread at the old arena where we where discussing running ponies thru the washing maching and the top rack of the dishwasher.  I'd forgot about that.  I've done the washer once, and they where no less for the wear, never done the dishwasher.

IT WORKED! Today I opend the Box with Kitty Litter and the Ponies. And... TATATATA... They don't smell anymore! I filled the hole box with Kitty Litter, so that the ponies couldn't be seen!

Now I'll clean them up and maybe give them a "febreze-bath".

Yay!  Kitty litter has always worked for me.  Ironically, this past summer I found a very nice Sky Dancer who happened to smell like cat pee and the kitty litter took care of that smell- that and letting the bucket with the pony and kitty litter sitting in the sun.  It baked the smell out.

I had to do the same thing with my car when I first bought it, the person who had it before me let some cats live in it while it was stored in a barn.  Letting it sit in the sun with the windows opened during the summer took care of the smell after cleaning the interior with an upholstery cleaner and pet odor eliminator.  I wonder how a cleaner like that would work on smelly ponies?

Yay! Congrats.

Lol - I havent had to resort to drowning the ponies in the litter [perhaps as I am a little lazy with clean up] but thats fantastic that it worked and something I may try on really bad cases in the future.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I'm glad you were able to help them! They look like they're in beautiful shape. Please never, ever throw ponies away! There is always some way to make them nice again, no matter the problem, and there is always someone here who will take them. Also...don't throw ponies in the washing machine! That's just...not a good idea.
