blind bag ponies
« on: January 10, 2013, 04:39:44 AM »
Am I the only pony collector who is not interested in the little solid plastic flotsam ponies?
I bought a few of them when they first came out and ended up giving them to a friend.
It seems that they have taken over from what are now referred to as 'brushables' or 'brushies'.
Does this bother anyone else at all?

I really don't like them much at all, but I do get the ponies I've been wishing for as brushables... I've lost  hope :P

The only ones I'm interested in getting are the unique ones like Gilda and the Wonderbolts pony. The rest? I'd just rather have brushable versions~

I like them. I disliked them at first, but after received a few from friends I just fell for them. They are co colorful and easy to collect. I wish the quality was a little better, and they had a few more molds then just the mane 6 and the male mold however.
I'd still prefer Fullsize ponies with manes and all that. Blindbags are nice tho, perfect for the pony collector on a budget (I say that like anyone just buys 1 or 2 at a time XD )

I would rather have brushables, but to be honest distribution here is so awful I will take anything pony that arrives on the shelves!

I kinda love them. But! I've always loved tiny plastic figures and MLP, so they're right up my alley. But I am getting tired of the same couple molds OVER AND OVER and I would rather have more brushables coming out, especially of some of the BB characters because so many of them are pretty! I can understand not being interested in the BBs. And yeah, definitely don't want the MLP toy brand to slowly just become those.

I love tiny toys and have always been interested in the petite ponies so the BB work for me.   I like the brushables too and would like to see more of those in different poses and more colors.

I was excited about them when they first came out and again when they came out with boy ponies but now I feel like it's getting to be a little much. $1.99 per blind bag, which is in one of like 4 poses gets tiring. I have a few handfuls that I was actually thinking of just getting rid of  There are a few I do like but overall I feel like Hasbro is focusing way too much on putting out as many waves of blind bags as they can instead of putting out more brushables :(

I 100% prefer ponies with a brushable mane - thats what MLP is all about for me. But I will admit I find ponyville/blind bag ponies adorable. And thanks to Hasbros lack of willingness to release new characters, I need to get my fix of new ponies from somewhere. Unfortunately the recent development of re releasing the same characters 2 and 3 and 4 times in the waves its starting to become annoying.

Eh, I was kinda against them at first but once I got some they've grown on me. I honestly mostly just like having new characters, though yes I do also wish for more poses or unique molds and want the BB characters to eventually get brushable versions.

I like them all right but I feel no need to seek them out or complete my collection of them.  I'd still much rather have a brushable.

I don't like them either. They are something that should be in a quarter machine. To me they are a waste of money.

I think they're really cute, but there are too many of them for too high of a price, and it feels like a waste of time and money for me to go look for them anymore... I'm happier with brushables.
