That ebay transaction I complained of earlier has got me more irritated. They charged $6.78 for shipping and I'm thinking that's a bit much for a few ounces but whatever stupid parcel post. Oh no, they sent the item first class! $4 for "handling"? I work at book store doing the shipping and we only charge $2 for "handling" I feel a little jipped. The seller has nothing but good feedback, no other complaints about over charge for postage.

If I know they are charging way too much for shipping...I just don't buy from them. I know that means I may lose out on some items, but I just cant get myself to pay that much for shipping when I know it doesnt cost that!

Yeah I did consider that. I guess I assumed for that cost they were sending it by any method other than First Class mail. If I had been aware they were using First Class I'd have backed off or messaged about it. Well we all know what they say about assuming.....

I was being a worry wart and feeling like a bad swapper and comparing myself to the others who are going a little overboard  but in the end I am satisfied that i've a got a really nice package together. My ponies are just lovely, i've got just a right amount of extras and I'm going to make an extra special valentine's card that will probably be a little overboard in the valentine cheesyness department

I tend to go a little overboard when it comes to swaps Dx. But then again I go a little overboard when I buy gifts for family too xD. It's just my nature lol.

Nina honey dont worry You are only expected to spend the budget - anything else is an "extra" - yes its lovely when people do this but no one should expect them and no one is expected to provide them. I am sure your partner will love your box

It sounds like a bit of an issue with your post and packing though on that last pony...have you posted about it over in trader support - the members and mods there are usually great with advice about how you should deal with it if you are not happy.

I don't think there is a limit as to how early you can send. I think sometime this week would be safe to ensure it gets where it's going in good time
