Huge Factory error on my White Celestia Brushable!

Hi guys! I just went to my local Target and was excited to find the white celestia brushable in the "Princess and Friends set" with pinkie pie, as shown below:

Once I opened up the package, I noticed a huge factory error on her non-display side blush!

Look at the huge upside-down V shaped error! Almost all the blush is gone from this side.

I have already emailed these pics to Hasbro (even though I listed the claim under the talking Celestia product code, the princess and friend option wasn't avaliable yet)

Should I expect a good response from Hasbro? Or can I return it to Target? I still have the box (ripped up) and reciept. Thank you all!

Awww... that's disappointing.  I don't know how Hasbro will respond.  I'd think about taking it back and replacing it  because that would be fastest.  However, there is no way to know if the flaw is on all of them so I'm sure they'll only do it once or twice.

That sucks. I'm so afraid of this happening to a lot of them now. I haven't found her yet. If I were you I'd try for and return or exchange at Target first. Target has always been really understanding when I've had to return things there. Hasbro, the one time I asked about a defective product they did give me a shipping voucher to send it back for an exchange but no guarantee I would get the same product back so I never sent it because I didn't want to get something random in return.

I don't understand why they had to mar her with blush to begin with. Could you just remove the blush?

Actually I am quite a fan of the blush!  I don't really want to remove it, but that is a nice suggestion!

They might accept since it's a defective/damaged product so it's not like it's going to be put out for sale again.
I probably wouldn't even try to tape it up unless you are afraid of losing parts. You want them to be able to see the damage.
If they do allow an exchange of the same thing I'd open the new one at the customer service desk to make sure it doesn't have the same problem and so if it does they know it's not just you being too rough opening the package and doing it yourself or something.
I wish you luck getting understanding returns counter employees if you do try it, and getting a Celestia that is in good shape!

I think 3377345's advice is spot on - store first as most manufacturers will expect you to have made that your first port of call. And if you get no where with Target then certainly follow up with Hasbro contact.

You should certainly make sure to take the packaging and everything from the packet with you to the store as well - just to prove everything that has happened.

Hasbro will not be kind to fixing the error.  They'll want you to return it and if they don't have it in stock they will send you random pony's...  I'd recommend taking her back to target just explain the issue and that you want to exchange it.

Ugh! On my white talking Celestia there are several plugs missing, but it's not obvious when she's just sitting on display. That's rather atrocious.

I'm so sorry!!! My Rarity from that set with Luna has a couple of small brown stains on her non-display side. Definitely NOT happy. >
